The Rexel Foundation for a better energy future celebrates 8 years of support to most disadvantaged populations

Since 2013, Rexel has been committed through the Rexel Foundation for a better energy future, to working with associations, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and partners in support of community projects that improve access to energy efficiency for society’s most disadvantaged people, to fighting fuel poverty and by doing so, to bringing about solutions that respond to the challenges facing society today.

In India in 2020, for example, the Rexel Foundation supported the association ‘Un enfant par la main’, to help reopen four community centres aimed at children, which had been destroyed during the floods of 2018 in the state of Tamil Nadu in southern India. Works to bring electricity to these educational facilities using solar panels, were completed during the year despite the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.
